This month we were thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new New England PVA Membership Outreach and Support Program! This innovative new program is designed to strengthen connections throughout our entire New England community, ensuring that each Chapter member in our region knows they are not alone, and provide meaningful support to both new and existing members. With all the challenges surrounding the Veterans Administration in this time, a program such as this is needed now and perhaps more than ever.
Whether through direct outreach, peer-to-peer connections, or increased access to vital resources, our goal is to make sure every eligible veteran in New England has the opportunity to be part of our supportive and empowering network.
Through this program, we are expanding our reach to engage more veterans who could benefit from the services of our Chapter as a premier Veterans Service Organization in New England. Whether through direct outreach, peer-to-peer connections, or increased access to vital resources, our goal is to make sure every eligible veteran in New England has the opportunity to be part of our supportive and empowering network.
What This Means for Chapter Members:
- Community Engagement – We are strengthening peer connections through in-person and virtual events, helping members stay connected no matter where they are in New England.
- Personalized Support – Whether you need assistance navigating VA benefits, adaptive sports opportunities, or healthcare resources, our team is here to help.
- Strong Communications & Awareness – We are expanding our voice, ensuring that the needs of our members in New England are heard at the local, state, and national levels.
To get a flavor of what this program will look like, here is a snapshot: over the next year our program leadership team will be visiting all VA facilities in New England that have SCI/D units. We will meet with VA staff and host coffee and lunch gatherings for our members. Outside the VA, we will also host networking events and dinners at partnering VSO facilities and restaurants in all 6 New England states. We are currently in conversations with several donors, grantors, and sponsors to underwrite most if not all the expenses associated with this new program.
This is just the beginning. As we continue to roll out this wide-ranging program, we encourage you to get involved – whether by referring a fellow member, attending an event, or sharing your feedback to help us tailor this program to best serve you. More information to come on our visits to your state over the next year.
As the Program Director, it is my honor to lead this new initiative as we build a stronger, more connected community with and for veterans here in New England. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about how you can participate, please reach out to our office. We look forward to continuing this journey with you!
