VA New England Healthcare System (VISN1)
The VA New England Healthcare System is one of 18 Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISNs) within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) under the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Services are provided through primary care supported by eight Joint Commission accredited medical centers. We are located throughout the six New England states – Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. VISN 1 has 11 medical centers, 45 Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), six community living centers and two domiciliaries.

VA Boston Healthcare System
VA Boston Healthcare System’s consolidated facility consists of the Jamaica Plain campus, located in the heart of Boston’s Longwood Medical Community; the West Roxbury campus, located on the Dedham line; and the Brockton campus, located 20 miles south of Boston in the City of Brockton.
West Roxbury Spinal Cord Injury Center
The mission of the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Center is to promote the health, independence, quality of life, and productivity of Veterans with spinal cord injuries and disorders (SCI/D) throughout their lives. In support of our mission we provide the full continuum of care to Veterans and Active Duty Service Members with a spinal cord injury or disorder including rehabilitation, acute care, and sustaining care through a comprehensive multidisciplinary model. Our sustaining care services for Veterans with SCI include primary care, preventive care, ongoing rehabilitation needs, medical management, outpatient care, home care, and long term care. The Boston SCI Center is the hub site covering all six New England states as part of the SCI hub and spoke network within VISN1.

VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System
VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System provides primary, specialty, and mental health care, including psychiatric, substance abuse and PTSD services, to a Veteran population in central and western Massachusetts of more than 120,000 men and women.
Care is provided at the Northampton VA Medical Center, which has 85 behavioral health beds, a 44-bed nursing home care unit, and a 16-bed substance abuse, compensated work therapy and transitional residence located off-campus. The healthcare system also oversees five community-based outpatient clinics in Fitchburg, Greenfield, Pittsfield, Springfield, and Worcester.

VA Maine Healthcare System
VA Maine Healthcare System’s Togus VA Medical Center (VAMC) is a Joint Commission accredited, complexity Level 1C facility in Augusta, Maine that serves over 42,500 Veterans. Full-time community-based outpatient clinics (CBOCs) are located in Bangor, Calais, Caribou, Lewiston, Lincoln, Portland, Rumford and Saco. Part-time clinics are located in Fort Kent and Houlton. A 53-foot mobile clinic, an Office of Rural Health pilot program, was converted to a fixed-site part-time clinic in Bingham.
Togus VAMC is a 67-operating bed facility with general medical, surgical, intermediate and mental health beds, as well as a 100-bed Nursing Home consisting of 50 Skilled and Longer Stay beds, and a 50-bed Dementia Unit. The oldest veterans’ facility in the country, having opened in the fall of 1866, Togus is located five miles east of Augusta, the state capital. Togus campus encompasses 500+ acres of buildings and natural woodlands serving as natural habitats for Maine’s wildlife. Additionally, the National Cemetery is located on the Togus campus.

White River Junction VA Medical Center, Vermont
The White River Junction VA Medical Center (WRJ VAMC) is responsible for the delivery of health care services to eligible Veterans in Vermont and the 4 contiguous counties of New Hampshire. These services are delivered at the Medical Center’s main campus located in White River Junction, Vermont, and at its seven Outpatient Clinics (Bennington, Brattleboro, Burlington, Newport, and Rutland, Vermont; Keene and Littleton, New Hampshire).
