Protecting Those with Disabilities
Protection and Advocacy Systems (P&As) work at the state level to provide legal protection and advocacy to individuals with disabilities.
P&As are dedicated to the ongoing fight for the personal and civil rights of individuals with disabilities. They provide legal support to traditionally unserved or underserved populations to help them navigate the legal system to achieve resolution and encourage systems change. P&As also ensure that individuals with disabilities are able to exercise their rights to make choices, contribute to society, and live independently.
The New England Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America works with P&As throughout New England on a variety of legislative and advocacy-related issues. We encourage all NEPVA members to contact their state’s P&A with questions, concerns, or information about legal issues.
